12. Why Travel to Sedona? It's a Great Place to Ride Your Bike.

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

Sedona is bicycle friendly. Lots of people ride bikes on the trails. I don't think you can do that with a motorcycle, but the air is clean and cool, the sun is beautiful, and so is the sky and the red rock formations everywhere. It's a nice place to ride a motorcycle and see a lot. Just don't be on two wheels if there is snow and ice - especially on bridges out of town. Yes, it does snow part of the year. Thousands of retired people have second homes in Sedona and visit half of the year when the weather is nice. They say it helps with their arthritis. Sedona is open and...

11. Why Travel to Sedona? You'll Never Forget Sedona.

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

If you're like me, you've probably seen lots of tropic places on vacation. Sedona and the Grand Canyon are very different, and it's those differences that make it a very memorable place to visit. A few years ago me and my wife talked about giving gifts versus experiences to people of all ages. When we discovered is that people forget gifts quickly, but they don't forget experiences. If you want to get away from work and see someplace truly beautiful and share that experience with your family, you should get excited about Sedona. It's very unique and has something for...

10. Why Travel to Sedona? It's Free to Hike Everywhere.

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

Yes, it's free to hike everywhere. Just don't hike in people's yards. There are lots of great trails. Most of them are relatively easy, and you'll get to take some great pictures. Bring a backpack with cold drinks. None of the hikes are that long to pack sandwiches, but you can if you want. You might want to bring a lunch if you're going to be spending a lot of time at slide rock. We mention this because the Grand Canyon National Park has an admission fee. Most of our drivers have a pass if you are in a nice car, but it's about $8 per person otherwise. Hiking in Sedona is...

9. Why Travel to Sedona? It's Romantic and a Great Day Trip.

If you just show up without any idea of where to go or what to do, you can miss a lot. We recommend putting together a list of your top 5 or 10 things to do while you're there. Hopefully our pictures will give you a lot of great ideas. Once you book your flight, call us to book your transportation. Usually it's less than a rental car and you don't have to do the driving. Plus you get to see a lot...

8. Why Travel to Sedona? There is Snow Skiing Nearby in Flagstaff.

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

Yes, downhill snow skiing in Arizona. Flagstaff has a place called the Snowbowl that's very popular for skiing. They only get snow part of the year, so they make snow to extend the skiing season. Really nice place to spend the day with your family, drink some hot cocoa, and if you're like me go really really fast down the mountain. Ski equipment rentals are reasonably priced compared to other ski resorts. You can find accommodations at nicer hotels in the city of Flagstaff.

This is our travel picture gallery for Sedona AZ. There are lot of beautiful places to take...

7. Why Travel to Sedona? You Can Also See Antelope Canyon.

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

Antelope Canyon is not as well known as the Grand Canyon or Sedona, but the pictures are unlike any other place on Earth. Seriously, this place is so beautiful it's ridiculous. If you want to visit the Antelope Canyon near Page AZ, we can drive you there. You'll want to book a tour of the lower canyon way ahead of time since you are required to have a Navajo Guide. Preferably in the morning when it's cooler. The upper canyon tour doesn't appear to be worth the money and it's a lot hotter. You get plenty of shade in the lower canyon. Bring a really nice camera if you've...

6. Why Travel to Sedona? The Hotels Are Beautiful.

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

The best hotel we know of is L'Auberge de Sedona and the Enchanted Resort. It can be a bit pricey. If you're not big money status, the Orchard's Inn and Elements are also very nice. You can also stay in a Airbnb, the Marriot or the Hyatt. Those aren't the only places, but them seem to have very nice accommodations. We included some pictures of the hotels mixed in with the pictures of Sedona.

This is our travel picture gallery for Sedona AZ. There are lot of beautiful places to take pictures, plenty of hiking, great restaurants and shopping. See for yourself, and if you...

5. Why Travel to Sedona? The Food is Awesome!

August 04, 2018

PICTURES OF SEDONA:

Yes, the food is awesome! They have several restaurants with real chefs. Whether you just like to enjoy good food or you're a foodie / food blogger, Sedona won't disappoint you. Creekside has excellent breakfast. The Mesa Grill at the Sedona Airport has world class tacos. Yes, it's like Wolfgang Puck had a baby and the baby started making tacos at the airport. Unfortunately, it's not a passenger airport. Parking is free and plentiful, and security is relaxed. Really nice place to visit. One time I was sitting there eating tacos at sunset, and I got to watch lightening,...
